St John's Wood - Exploring Westminster's Villages

Lord's Cricket Ground

St John's Wood is famous for being the home of Lord's Cricket Ground and the Abbey Road Studios. As the name suggests this part of North London was once a forest and is now a desirable, leafy garden suburb.

The St John's Wood walking tour explores this area's sporting, musical and artistic connections.

Abbey Road Studios

On the we will see both Lord's Cricket Ground and the Abbey Road Studios (exteriors only) and you will have the opportunity to cross the famous zebra crossing which is immortalised on the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road album.

We also visit its attractive high street, fine parish church and see the grave of a religious prophetess and discover her intriguing story.

St John's Wood Church

St John's Wood bespoke walking tours are popular with groups of family and friends or clubs who are looking to go off piste and explore a lesser know part of London which is rich in history, as well as those who just want to be photographed on the Abbey Road zebra crossing.
